Throughout our 9-week “FruitFULL” series, we’re examining the nine fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-24). This week we focused on Peace and discovered the fruit of peace is proof of a mind consumed with the God of peace.

What were your initial thoughts or takeaways from the sermon, and why?
What do you think experiencing “peace within our souls” means and feels like?
In Galatians 5:22, the third fruit of the Spirit is peace (Eirēnē).
What is the Biblical definition of peace (Eirēnē)?
What are some differences between joy (chara) and peace (Eirēnē)?
How do you think the fruit of peace is grown/produced in our lives?
Are you experiencing the peace of God in your soul, or are you being filled with something else (i.e. anxiety, depression, anxiousness, hopelessness, despair)? What is attributing to what your soul is experiencing?

How do we experience having peace WITH God?
Do you have peace WITH God through a saving relationship with Jesus? If not, what’s stopping you from putting your faith in Jesus by asking Him to be the Forgiver of your sin and Leader of your life?

What is Jesus promising His followers (those of us who have peace WITH God) in this verse?
How can experiencing “trouble” prevent us from experiencing peace within our souls?
What does Jesus tell us to do when we experience “trouble”, and how do we do that?

What main point(s) is Paul communicating in this passage?
In vs 8-9, what is Paul instructing us to do, and why is he instructing us to do it?
