Group Meetings

Every successful group meeting includes three elements. Relational Connection, Study and Discussion and Prayer. Review the Group Meeting Overview for the purpose and wins and the T-Life Group Member Agreement for its values and goals. It is good to launch your group with everyone on the same page. It may be good to review these as your group progresses to keep everyone aligned and ultimately making each group meeting a safe place. Click or tap any of the boxes below to learn more about the respective resource and utilize them in anyway you need in order to make your group meetings intentional and successful.

Tools for Relational Connection

Sharing Stories

One of the best way to build relationships is to spend time getting to know one another through stories. Placed toward the beginning of your group launch, assign a couple of people each week and have them follow a template to help them prepare and share.

Huddle

Whether in or out side of a group meeting, a huddle can help authentic relationships begin to develop. Have everyone pair up and practice in your group. Then later, encourage everyone to begin huddling outside of group.

Ice Breaker Questions

Use Ice Breakers to kick off a meeting and encourage people to start talking while getting to know one another. The questions become more personal and insightful as the levels increase.

Play Games

Sometimes, you just need to play some games to get your group going. Visit a long list of more ice breakers and game ideas using the button below.

Tools for Study and Discussion

Every group meeting should include intentional time for study and discussion. Some of the most used and successful resources are listed below. If your group is a newly formed group, we encourage utilizing something more general like the sermon questions for discussion. The options are endless!

Discuss the Sermons

Many people like to process what they learned with others. On the sermons page, check out the most recent sermon questions by locating the respective week. Encourage every group member to work through and process these on their own prior to group discussion. Feel free to ask one or all, and even make up your own!

Tools for Prayer

Every group meeting should include intentional time for prayer. The primary avenue for a person to receive prayer is through their T-Life Group. This is an opportunity for your group members to give and receive prayer, learn how to pray for others and experience praying with others as group. Below are prayer ideas that create intentionality around the requests and ensures the group stays focused on building community.
