Prayer Prompts
Are you or members of your group nervous praying out loud? Use these simple prompts as a guide. Prayer is a conversation between you and God, and it is okay if your words are not eloquent. God sees and knows your heart. Practicing will help it feel more natural.
Who He is, what He has done in your life, what He has created. Consider reading a Psalm of praise for language and focus.
Be honest about sin and struggles. He already knows, and He wants to help you through the struggle.
Ways God has provided, grown you, or blessed others. Thank Him for what He will do, trusting His care for your future.
Protection, healing, provision, wisdom, and help for specific situations in your life or someone else’s life.
Why end prayers “in Jesus’ name”?
Ending in His name is about heart and alignment. We pray with faith, humility, and a desire to glorify God, seeking Jesus’ will. See John 14:13–14.
