“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Message Recap

Jesus didn’t come to start a religion. He came for a different reason…relationship. He came to lead us into a growing relationship with God. Ultimately, so that he can transform us into everything God created us to be. And that happens by us taking one next step at a time.

Main Point

Our relationship with God grows by following Jesus one next step at a time.

Questions for Reflection

Grab a journal and take time working through the questions below. Don’t forget to check out the Bible reading schedule below. When reading ask: 1) What does the passage say? 2) What does it mean? 3) How does it apply to my life?

  1. Thinking back throughout this series, what has made the biggest impact on you? What was new for you?

  2. Once you put your faith in Jesus, sin is no longer a salvation issue, but a surrender issue. How does this make you feel? What does this mean for you?

  3. Sin doesn’t break our relationship with God; it hurts it and affects our transformation. Read 2 Corinthians 5:17, and Ephesians 4:22-24. Are there currently any areas in your life that you know you need to change?

  4. On Sunday, Ronnie gave three ways to take next steps to follow Jesus. Which of the following do you feel is the next step Jesus is inviting you to take to follow him. Explain.

    • Practical Biblical Preaching

    • Fully engaging in a smaller community of people

    • Obeying the promptings from the Holy Spirit.

  5. What will you explore next? If you haven’t put your faith in Jesus, what’s stopping you?
