About the Group

This is a group for all types of young adults. Men, women, singles, dating, or married couples! We will gather together to encourage one another, create community, and form friendships, all the while discussing the Sunday sermons and growing in faith together. Whether you've been a follower of Jesus for a long time or are just interested in learning more about who Jesus even is, this groups is for you!

About the Leader

I grew up as the youngest of 5 kids in a small town in South Dakota. My parents divorced when I was 2, so I primarily grew up in a single parent household with a mom working 2 jobs. We went to the Lutheran church, but I never really felt like I had a relationship with Jesus or even knew who he was or what he had done for me. After going off to college, I was in a really dark place in my life and so I started seeking out church again, hoping to find something new. I found a great church and became great friends with the pastor there, who eventually ending up changing my mind about who Jesus truly is, which led me to put my faith in Jesus in 2013 and get baptized in 2014. I moved to Elkhorn after graduating college in 2017 and have been a part of Relevant ever since. I work as an accountant in Omaha and also serve in the Relevant Kids Ministry. I love to golf, sing country music, and watch college football!

What happens next if I join the group?

Once you register for the group (by clicking the “Join Group” button below), you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that we received your registration. In the next couple of days, your new group leader will reach out with some preliminary details about the location, time, and first group meeting.

At the first group meeting you’ll get to know others in your group and hear more about what to expect moving forward. If you decide the group is a good fit for you, great! If not, you can discretely let the group leader know and we’ll help you find a different group.

After a few months of being in the group you’ll have the opportunity to reevaluate if the group is a good fit for you and either continue with the group or step out of the group if desired. So by joining a group, you’re not making a long-term commitment.

If you have any questions, email us at groups@relevantcommunity.org.
