About the Group

This group is for men. We meet weekly before heading to work to challenge each other around becoming better men, husbands, fathers, and/or followers of Jesus. Ultimately, we will encourage each other in becoming who God has created us to be. Bring your coffee or breakfast if you like! We meet in the upper room at Boyd and Charlie's in downtown Elkhorn.

About the Leader

I am a husband, father, and grandfather. I have been with Relevant for 6 years. I am a group leader for Volunteer Staff Orientation, my wife and I lead an adult T-Life group, and I lead a men's T-Life group. I am also a camera operator for the production team. I have lived in Omaha my entire life. I grew up going to church but didn't understand what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus until my late 20s. After 30+ years of attending the same church, I felt God calling me to step out of my comfort zone and find a church family that would help me grow and strengthen my relationship with Jesus. I had been attending Relevant for about a year when I made the decision to go through Volunteer Staff Orientation. That experience changed my whole perspective on what it meant to have Jesus be the forgiver of my sins and the leader of my life. I was baptized at Relevant in Sept. of 2017 to publicly declare to my new church family that I was ready to re-dedicate my life to Jesus and to them, by serving and loving them, and always striving to be all that God has created me to be.

What happens next if I join the group?

Once you register for the group (by clicking the “Join Group” button below), you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that we received your registration. In the next few days, your new group leader will reach out with preliminary details about the location, time, and first group meeting.

At the first group meeting you’ll get to know others in your group and hear more about what to expect moving forward. If you decide the group is a good fit for you, great! If not, you can discretely inform the group leader, and we’ll help you find a different group.

After a few months of being in the group you’ll have the opportunity to reevaluate if the group is a good fit for you and either continue with the group or step out of the group if desired. So by joining a group, you’re not making a long-term commitment.
