About the Group

If you're between the ages of 18 and 22 and out of high school, we hope you join us on Thursday nights at The Relevant Center. In our group, you will have the chance to meet others in the same stage of life as you, build relationships, and take steps on your spiritual journey while being encouraged by others! We use the Sunday sermons as our guide for conversation as well as hanging out together outside of normal group meetings. Kristy and I are excited to have you join us and would love to be a part of your life.

About the Leaders

My wife, Kristy, and I initially met on the first day of high school in Spanish class. Four years later and were married at the ripe old age of 20 years old. We eventually moved to Chicago in 2001 where I graduated from Moody Bible Institute. In 2004, I took a job as a youth pastor in Birmingham, AL. In 2006, I started and pastored a church in Birmingham. Previous to that I worked primarily with high school students for eight years. We moved to Omaha from Birmingham in November of 2008 after feeling called to start Relevant Community Church. Kristy and I have two beautiful daughters: Grace and Reese. My passion is to be a man of God, to love my wife, to be a great daddy, and to advance God's Kingdom as much as possible with the short amount of time I have been given.

What happens next if I join the group?

Once you register for the group (by clicking the “Join Group” button below), you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that we received your registration. In the next couple of days, your new group leader will reach out with some preliminary details about the location, time, and first group meeting.

At the first group meeting, you’ll get to know others in your group and hear more about what to expect moving forward. If you decide the group is a good fit for you, great! If not, you can discretely let the group leader know and we’ll help you find a different group.

After a few months of being in the group you’ll have the opportunity to reevaluate if the group is a good fit for you and either continue with the group or step out of the group if desired. So by joining a group, you’re not making a long-term commitment.

If you have any questions, email us at groups@relevantcommunity.org.
