West Bay Elementary Project (15 spots available)
What: Landscape/Grounds Clean-up
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:00am-11:00am
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will be serving West Bay Elementary by cleaning up the grounds around the outside of the building.
Fire Ridge Elementary Project (15 spots available)
What: Deep Cleaning Classrooms and add Nursing Room
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:00am-11:00am
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will be serving Fire Ridge Elementary staff and students by cleaning classroom tables and desks throughout the school. We will also help add a Mom’s nursing room.
Blue Sage Elementary Project (15 spots available)
What: Conference Room Makeover and Cleaning
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:00am-11:00am
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will be serving Blue Sage Elementary staff and students by giving their conference room a fresh makeover including painting walls and deep cleaning classrooms.
Camp Rivercrest Project (YU and Rooted ONLY)
What: Cleaning up and prepare grounds for Fall/Winter Campers
When: Sunday November 16th, 3:00-5:30pm
Where: Camp Rivercrest in Fremont
Project Details: Students will meet at The Relevant Center at 3:00 pm and take a bus to Camp Rivercrest. Students will return to The Relevant Center by 5:30 pm.
King Lake Firewood Project (40 spots available)
What: Clearing trees, cutting and stacking firewood.
When: Saturday November 15th, 8:30-12:00pm
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Serve King Lake families by clearing trees and helping cut firewood for families to heat their homes in the winter. Wear clothes that you don't care if they get dirty.This project is now full
Restoring Dignity Home Makeover Project (70 spots available)
What: Giving a Refuge family a home makeover
When: Saturday November 15th, Multiple shifts available
Where: Omaha, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will help move furniture and household items, deep clean, make repairs and build new furniture for a Refuge family of 6 who are struggling to make ends meet due to major health issues. Heartland Hope Mission Project (FULL)
What: Organize donations at Heartland Hope Mission center
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:30-11:30 am
Where: Omaha, NE (155th and Industrial Rd)
Project Details: Volunteers will help in the Heartland Hope Mission pantry sorting clothing and food donations to help those going through crisis and food insecurity. Volunteers will also help unbox and organize toys for their Hope Filled Christmas program.
Stone Pointe Elementary Project (FULL)
What: Deep cleaning classrooms, storage rooms and breakout rooms due to construction at one of our adopted Elkhorn Public Schools.
When: 9:30am-11:30am
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will be serving the staff and students by cleaning the new wing at the brand-new Stone Pointe Elementary School
Iron Bluff Gaga Pit Project (FULL)
What: Build a new Gaga Pit at Iron Bluff Elementary
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:00 am to 11:00 am
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will be serving the Iron Bluff students by building a new Gaga Pit for the school playground.
Westridge Elementary Playground Project (FULL)
What: Playground Painting Project
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:00am-12:00pm
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will be serving Westridge Elementary staff and students by painting games and paths on the playground.
Arbor View Elementary Project (FULL)
What: Deep Cleaning Classrooms and Repair Shed
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:00am-11:00am
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will be serving Arbor View Elementary staff and students by cleaning classroom tables and desks throughout the school. We will also make repairs to exterior of shed and add shelving.
The Furniture Project (FULL)
(Must be at least 16 y/o)
What: Collect, clean, organize donations at The Furniture Project warehouse
When: Saturday November 15th, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Where: Omaha, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will help collect, clean, and organize donations at The Furniture Project to help them better serve the refugee community.
Volunteers will also help with furniture pick-ups and deliveries as needed. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Fresh Hope Project (FULL)
What: Serve our partner Fresh Hope
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:00-11:00 am
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Serve our partner Fresh Hope, so that Uptown Java can be utilized to raise funding for the mission of Fresh Hope. We'll help with moving items, cleaning and organizing and potentially painting.
Manchester Landscape Project (FULL)
What: Clean up and Mulch Landscaping at Manchester Elementary
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:00 am to 11:00 am
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will be serving the Manchester staff/students by cleaning up the front landscaping and adding mulch and plants.
COPE Project (FULL)
What: Organize donations at COPE’s donation center
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:30-11:30 am
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will help deep clean the warehouse, sort clothing and food donations to get the donation center at COPE (Christian Outreach Program of Elkhorn) organized to better serve those in need in the Elkhorn area.
Downtown Elkhorn Project (FULL)
What: Serve the Downtown Elkhorn Businesses
When: Saturday November 15th, 9:00-11:00 am
Where: Elkhorn, NE
Project Details: Volunteers will help decorate the Downtown Elkhorn street light poles with garland, lights and bows for the Christmas Season.
