Camp Leader Expectations-

  1. Their experience at the expense of our experience. We ask that you do not leave your students unattended. If you need to take a nap or a leave of any kind please make sure you have your students covered during that time.

  2. Your students are your responsibility. The things they do and don’t do should be from your leadership.

  3. Students should keep their hands to themselves

  4. There is a age gap at Camp. Please make sure our students are being appropriate to a 5th or 6th grade level. We don’t want camp to be the place where our students learn the awful things of the world.

    1. When it comes to games and activities make sure that everyone has a chance to have fun. Do not have the attitude win at all cost. We are not sacrificing students experiences for our winning attitude.

  5. There is a leaders meeting every morning at 7:30 am. Please make sure that you are there and ready to ask clarifying questions. We will clarify the day but we will also work through the problems that have come up.

  6. No phones at camp- If you need to call please do this discretly and at an appropriate time

LEAD222 wants to help students discover what it means to live differently as followers of Christ in today’s world. In a culture that often pulls us toward comfort and conformity, we believe true leadership stands out. People respond to those who choose what’s right and needed—even when it’s hard. This week is all about investing in students to become difference-makers who live differently through bold dreams, intentional relationships, meaningful words, and Christ-centered actions.

We’ll join Fellowship Church from Michigan for an awesome week of camp where we explore what it means to lead as followers of Jesus. We’ll hear from veteran youth leaders, worship together and have plenty of chances to meet just as a Rooted group. The week is all about having incredible fun doing traditional and adventure camp activities while learning more about how to be a committed follower of Jesus. Our Leaders will do camp right alongside the students, keeping track of all the safety stuff but also using this week to connect and grow with all our students. We will learn how Jesus challenged his followers to LIVE DIFFERENTLY and we’ll apply this training to our own lives and encourage the students to live for God in the school year ahead.

Brian Boom(Program Director). He is not on staff at Expeditions but is the main camp leader for lead 222. Lead 222 is the company we go with to camp. All decisions fall on Brian, but he does a great job leading with us the entire week.

Fellowship Church- Brian Boom is the Director. Ally VanDerLaan is the Middle School Ministry Leader.
