Dares
Dare One: Bubble Wrap Mummy Relay
In this dare, you will transform one of your teammates into a bubble-wrapped mummy! As a team, decide who will be the mummy and work together to wrap them up using only balloons and tape. Be strategic—too few balloons won’t look like a mummy, but too many might make it hard to move!
Once wrapped, your Mummy must shuffle to the finish line without losing too many balloons. This dare is judged on speed and how intact your Mummy remains by the end of the race. Submit a photo of your team with your fully wrapped Mummy before the race begins!
Dare Two: Blindfold Masterpiece
In this dare, you will create a one-of-a-kind work of art—without seeing it! As a team, choose three artists to be blindfolded and you will use rest of the team be their verbal guide. Using only spoken directions, the guide must help the blindfolded artists draw a specific object (Our team leads will hand these out).
Be as detailed and descriptive as possible—but no touching the artist or the paper! This dare is judged on creativity, accuracy, and how hilariously off-track the drawing turns out. Submit a photo of your masterpiece along with your team!
Dare Three: Chopstick Transfer
In this dare, you will put your chopstick skills to the test! As a team, get ready to transfer as many marshmallows as possible from one bowl to another—using only chopsticks!
Each player will have a set time limit to move marshmallows one at a time, without using their hands or touching the bowls. The more marshmallows you transfer, the better! This dare is judged on speed, skill, and teamwork, so stay focused and steady. Submit a photo of your team in action with your marshmallow pile at the end!
Dare Four: Sock Puppet Lip Sync Battle
In this dare, you will bring your sock puppets to life in an epic lip-sync performance! As a team, design and create original sock puppets using the materials provided. Give them big personalities, wild expressions, and plenty of flair!
Once your puppets are ready, choose a song and put on a show-stopping performance. Your puppets must lip-sync with enthusiasm, and your team should bring the energy, choreography, and creativity! This dare is judged on puppet design, performance quality, and overall entertainment value. Submit a VIDEO of your team with your superstar sock puppets before the show!
Dare Five: Dizzy Pong
In this dare, you will test your balance, aim, and ability to recover from extreme dizziness! As a team, decide who will take on the challenge first and get ready to spin and bounce!
Each player must spin 10 times, then attempt to bounce a ping pong ball into a cup. If they miss, they must spin twice more before trying again. Stay steady, focus, and aim carefully—because the first team to land 3 successful bounces wins!
This dare is judged on speed, accuracy, and determination. Submit a photo of your team mid-spin or celebrating your victorious bounce!
Small Group Guides
-
This time is to get to know your students. Keep it light, the goal is to build trust
Have them introduce themselves in some fun way! (What middle school they attend would be helpful)
How they heard about double dog?
How many of you watch the news ? is it often good stories or bad stories ?
What’s the craziest or funniest piece of news you’ve ever heard — real or fake?(Could be from the night, social media, or just something ridiculous they’ve heard
-
1. Why do you think most news — or rumors — we hear tends to be bad, embarrassing, or dramatic?
(Let them share — builds tension for good news to stand out.)
2. Have you ever gotten news that was so good you almost didn’t believe it was true? What was it?
3. Tonight we said the hardest dare in life might not be eating gross food or winning a game… but believing The Good News of Jesus. Why do you think believing that God really loves you can feel hard sometimes?
4. Romans 5:8 says Jesus came for us while we were still sinners — not after we got life together. What does that tell you about what kind of love God has for us?
5. If Jesus is offering you forgiveness, freedom, and forever with Him… what’s holding you back from believing that or trusting Him more?
(Encourage honesty — doubt, fear, pride, feeling unworthy — all welcome here.)
6.What would it look like for you to actually take that dare and believe the Good News is for you this week? What would change?
