Healthy + Transformational Group Indicators

Recognize growth and identify where your group needs attention.

T-Life Groups exist to help people grow in relationship with Jesus, connect meaningfully in community, and impact people for Jesus.

These indicators describe the kind of growth we’re pursuing together. Use them to reflect on your group, celebrate what God is doing, and identify where intentional leadership or additional support could help.

Growth takes time. Look for patterns and progress rather than expecting every indicator to be fully developed at once.

Growing in a Relationship with Jesus

  • People are surrendering their lives to Jesus and taking next steps to follow Jesus.

  • The group is helping, inspiring, empowering, and holding one another accountable to follow Jesus.

  • People are growing in their passion for, understanding of, and application of the Bible.

  • The group prays with, for, and over one another.

  • People are taking next steps of engagement within the church.

Reflect: Where do you see people responding to Jesus? How is your group helping members live out what they’re learning? Who might need encouragement or a personal conversation about their Next Steps?

Connecting in Community

  • People are committed to one another and the group.

  • People are experiencing belonging and community within Relevant Community Church.

  • Authentic relationships are forming and flourishing.

  • People remain united in Christ when there is disagreement—practicing unity in community and unity over agreement.

  • The group cares for one another and meets one another’s needs.

  • The group is loving one another just as Christ first loved us.

Reflect: Who feels connected, and who might still be on the edges? How are people caring for one another beyond gatherings? What happens when members disagree?

Impacting People for Jesus

  • The group is engaging in the life and mission of Relevant together.

  • The group is helping each other “Reach One” for Jesus.

  • New people are joining the group.

  • The group is reproducing.

Reflect: How is your group looking beyond itself? Are members encouraging one another to Reach One? How are you welcoming new people and preparing others for leadership so more people can experience community?

Turn reflection into thoughtful action

After reviewing the indicators, identify:

One area to celebrate.
Name a specific example of growth. Encourage your group by sharing what you’ve noticed while respecting personal information.

One area to strengthen.
Choose a focused action rather than trying to address everything at once. You might protect time for prayer, check in with someone who seems disconnected, or invite a potential apprentice into a leadership opportunity.

Any support you need.
Talk with your coach or Anna about questions, concerns, or opportunities. You don’t have to decide how to respond on your own.

Return to these indicators during the trimester and notice what is changing.
