LDP: Rooted Ministry

 

Position Title

Leadership Development Program – Rooted Ministry (Middle School)

Status

Part-Time (20 Hours Per Week) 

Position Summary

The LDP (Leadership Development Program) is Relevant Community Church’s paid college internship program. The LDP exists to raise up, reproduce and send out great leaders to advance God’s Kingdom through the local church. The LDP is for young men and women (18-25 years of age) who want to be a part of advancing God’s Kingdom through the local church. An LDP Staff is someone who wants to be equipped to influence others in being a part of Jesus’ mission. LDP Staff are not just interns! They are leadership interns!

Responsibilities of Every LDP Staff: 

  • Assist the Ministry Leader to successfully achieve the Ministry’s Purpose, Measurable Wins, and Strategy

  • Assist the Ministry Leader in developing and managing the Environments, Teams, Systems, and resources for the Ministry

  • Assist the Ministry Leader in apprenticing, engaging, managing, and coaching Team & Small Group Leaders

  • Assist the Ministry Leader in infusing RCC’s D.N.A. into the fabric of the Rooted ministry.

  • Attend Paid Staff Monthly On-site (2nd Thursday of month 9:00am-1:00pm)

  • Attend leadership Development meetings, homework, and coaching.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Rooted (Weekly Environment):

    • Assist the Ministry Leader in planning and evaluating Rooted.

    • Execute all aspects of Rooted (available from 2-6 pm on Sundays). 

    • Lead and execute all aspects of a Rooted environment under the guidance of Ministry Leader twice during the 12 month program. 

    • Lead game(s) one Sunday a month.

    • Host one Sunday a month.

    • Speak at Rooted once every three months.

  • Lead a Small Group and Apprentice Small Group Leaders. 

  • Assist in planning and executing Rooted events/retreats and Summer Camp.

  • Be at your scheduled Gathering (Sunday morning and First Thursday) to represent Rooted – Meet parents, talk to students, create community.

  • Help plan and lead LIT meetings.

  • Oversee Next Steps Team.

  • Lead Assimilation System to move 1st time guests to engaged student.

  • Lead New Faith System and lead students through the Baptism Process.

  • Be involved in executing Summer Blast (Relevant Kids).

Qualifications 

  • Whole-hearted commitment to live out the qualifications of a Deacon (1 Timothy 3:8-13)

  • Alignment with Relevant’s mission, vision, values, and strategy (Philosophical Unity)

  • Desire to be a part of leading the local church (whether vocationally or not)
