How to Share the Gospel
What is the Gospel?
When we use the word “gospel” we are talking about the good news of Jesus Christ; what God did for us by sending Jesus and how we can be saved through faith in Him.
Relevant’s Method for Sharing the Gospel
HE CREATED: God created us for a relationship.
God created us in his image for an intimate relationship with him. His created intent for us is to be holy how he is holy and his created will for us is to glorify him. Genesis 1:27, Isaiah 43:7
WE BROKE: Our sin broke that relationship.
Sin is such a violation against Holy Creator God, His created intent for us and, His created will for us, that it breaks our relationship with Him. Isaiah 59:2
The penalty of sin is death, not just physical death, but spiritual death and eternal separation from God. Romans 6:23, Matthew 25:46, Revelation 20:15
Everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s standard. Romans 3:23
HE RESTORED: God sent Jesus to restore the relationship.
Because of God’s great love for us, He sent Jesus to save us from our penalty of sin and to redeem, restore and reconcile our broken relationship with Him. Romans 5:8, John 3:16
Through his perfect life, sacrificial death, and supernatural resurrection, Jesus proved he is the savior of the world. John 14:6
WE RECEIVE: We receive (enter into) a saving relationship with God through faith in Jesus.
Everyone who puts their faith in Jesus is forgiven for their sins, saved from eternal death, has their relationship with God restored, and given eternal life. Romans 10:9-10
