Want to help a Karen family improve their living conditions? Karen refugees in Omaha are being trained on cleaning and food storage later this month. They need specific cleaners (pictured to the left) and tupperware. These items can be donated with our Second Sunday Clothing Donations at The Relevant Center on July 14.
Each Karen family will receive a “starter kit" after the training. However, in order to make it easier for Karen people to purchase the products they need when they shop on their own, we’re asking that you donate only the exact cleaning supplies pictured below. Specific cleaners needed: Degreaser, All Purpose cleaner, Bathroom cleaner and Window cleaner (from Wax-Mart). This way, Karen families can easily identify which product they need to purchase without having to read English. The cost of the items should be less than $10.
If you have questions, or would like to help at the training event on July 27, contact Cory Nelson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
