Introduction

Jesus said in His famous Sermon on the Mount, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” What does it mean to be a peacemaker? We continue learning about what Jesus meant by being blessed in our #blessed series.

Main Point: God has blessed us with His peace and wants us to be present to it and carry it to others.

Discussion Questions

  1. What’s the difference between a peacemaker and a peacekeeper?

  2. Where do you tend to find peace in your life?

  3. Read Philippians 4:5-7. What happens when we turn over our anxieties to God?

  4. On Sunday, Jeremy shared a story about Jamie acting and living as a peacemaker in the midst of chaos. Share some similar stories where either you or someone you know demonstrated being a peacemaker in a stressful situation.

  5. What will it take for you to stop worrying, arguing, and complaining and find peace so you can bring peace to others as a child of God?

 Taking A Next Step Together

God has blessed us with His peace and wants us to be present to it. He wants us to carry His peace to others especially in a chaotic world. What is one commitment that this group can make together to carry God’s peace to others this week?
