Leadership Development Program – Youth United Ministry
Part-Time (20 Hours Per Week)
The LDP (Leadership Development Program) is Relevant Community Church’s paid college internship program. The LDP exists to equip the young leaders to advance God’s Kingdom through the local church. The LDP is for young men and women (19-25 years of age) who want to be a part of advancing God’s Kingdom through the local church. An LDP Staff is someone who wants to be equipped to influence others in being a part of Jesus’ mission. LDP Staff are not just interns! They are leadership interns!
Responsibilities of Every LDP Staff:
Assist the Ministry Leader to successfully achieve the Ministry’s Purpose, Measurable Wins, and Strategy.
Assist the Ministry Leader in developing and managing the Environments, Teams, Systems, and resources for the Ministry.
Assist the Ministry Leader in apprenticing, engaging, managing, and coaching Team Leaders.
Assist the Ministry Leader in infusing RCC’s D.N.A. into the fabric of the Ministry.
Attend LDP Staff Blocks (Mondays & Thursdays from 1:00pm-5:00pm).
Attend Paid Staff Monthly On-site (2nd Thursday of month 9:00am-3:00pm).
Leadership Development with LDP Coordinator (Mondays 1:00-2:00pm).
Leadership Development Homework (average of 1 hour per week).
Coaching with LDP Coordinator (Thursdays for 1 hour during office block).
Availability: be available for Wednesday Environment from 4:00pm-9:00pm to set-up, assist production and organize tear down efforts with teams.
Wednesday Environment Prep: assist in production content (ProPresenter) and attend production meeting to run through Large Group Gathering content along with supplies and small group prep.
Environment review and reflection: meet with Ministry Leader weekly to review past weeks environment and complete overview of environment coming up.
Leadership Team Coaching meetings: work with Ministry Leader to create agenda for coaching meetings and one-on-one leader meetings.
Small Group Leader: engage as a small group apprentice and will creatively invest in the lives of high school students in their group.
Lead interactions one Wednesday a month
Host one Wednesday a month
Speak at Youth United once every three months
Plan 4 messages, they will give during 12 month program.
Check-in: assist in First Time Guest / Check-In process once a month
Environment lead rotation: lead/complete all aspects of a Youth United environment (plan, organize, communicate, facilitate, and evaluate) under the guidance of Ministry Leader twice during the 12 month program.
Social Media: manage Youth United’s social media account. Posting helpful content, series recaps, upcoming things to look forward to, and engaging content.
Attend and assist: NextGen team meetings, Team Link, Transition events: 8th grade promo, Senior transition, Baptisms, Orientation meetings, and NextGen training events
Sunday Serving: With in the first two months of the 12 month program, will select and serve on a Sunday morning team at Relevant (Guest Services, Production, Relevant Kids, Sprouts, etc).
Whole-hearted commitment to live out the qualifications of a Deacon (1 Timothy 3:8-13).
Alignment with RCC’s mission, vision, values, and strategy (Philosophical Unity).
Desire to be a part of leading the local church (whether vocationally or not).
Have been out of high school at least one year.
