Leadership Development Program – Relevant Kids Ministry
Part-Time (20 Hours Per Week)
The LDP (Leadership Development Program) is Relevant Community Church’s paid college internship program. The LDP exists to equip the young leaders to advance God’s Kingdom through the local church.The LDP is for young men and women (19-25 years of age) who want to be a part of advancing God’s Kingdom through the local church. An LDP Staff is someone who wants to be equipped to influence others in being a part of Jesus’ mission. LDP Staff are not just interns! They are leadership interns!
Responsibilities of Every LDP Staff:
Assist the Ministry Leader to successfully achieve the Ministry’s Purpose, Measurable Wins, and Strategy.
Assist the Ministry Leader in developing and managing the Environments, Teams, Systems, and resources for the Ministry.
Assist the Ministry Leader in apprenticing, engaging, managing, and coaching Team Leaders.
Assist the Ministry Leader in infusing RCC’s D.N.A. into the fabric of the Ministry.
Attend LDP Staff Blocks (Mondays & Thursdays from 1:00pm-5:00pm).
Attend Paid Staff Monthly On-site (2nd Thursday of month 9:00am-3:00pm).
Leadership Development with LDP Coordinator (Mondays 1:00-2:00pm).
Leadership Development Homework (average of 1 hour per week).
Coaching with LDP Coordinator (Thursdays for 1 hour during office block).
Availability: be available for Sunday Environment from 7:45 AM-12:45 PM to support planning, set-up, production and organize tear down efforts with teams.
Sunday Morning Environment Prep: assist in production content within ProPresenter and attend production meeting to run through Large Group content along with supplies and lesson plan prep.
Environment Review and Reflection: meet with Ministry Leader, Sprouts Coach and Check-in Team Leader weekly to review past weeks environment and complete overview of environment coming up.
Leadership Team Coaching Meetings: work with Ministry Leader to create agenda for monthly coaching meetings with Relevant Kids Leadership Team.
Small Group Leader: engage as a small group leader and creatively invests in the lives of children.
Check-in: to assist in family check-in process once a month.
Speaking rotation: work with Ministry Leader:
Lead worship one Sunday a month
Host one Sunday a month
Be the storyteller (bible) once every two months
Plan 2 messages they will give during 12 month program.
Environment lead rotation: lead/complete all aspects of a Relevant Kids environment (plan, organize, communicate, facilitate, and evaluate) under the guidance of Ministry Leader twice for Relevant Kids and once in Sprouts during 12 month program.
Social Media: post remarkable content that inspires, encourages, and moves people to share and interact with followers frequently so they view social presence as a two-way conversation.
Summer Blast: LDP Staff will be involved in the planning, prepping and executing Summer Blast.
Attend & Assist: NextGen team meetings, Team Link, Transition events: Kindergarten Confidential and Upgrade, Baptisms, Jumpstart, Orientation meetings, NextGen training events, “Legacy?” Parent Short-term Group.
Teach in Sprouts: PreK once every two months.
Teach in Sprouts: Toddlers once every two months
Whole-hearted commitment to live out the qualifications of a Deacon (1 Timothy 3:8-13).
Alignment with RCC’s mission, vision, values, and strategy (Philosophical Unity).
Desire to be a part of leading the local church (whether vocationally or not).
Have been out of high school at least one year.
